Dr. Christopher Shay is a board-certified chiropractor who received his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA after receiving his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University. He uses a multi-disciplinary “whole person approach” to treating his patients. This approach to wellness means looking for underlying causes of any disturbance or disruption and making whatever interventions and lifestyle adjustments that would optimize the conditions for normal function.

He currently holds licenses in both New York and Connecticut. Dr. Shay has a strong background in the evaluation and treatment of sports-related injuries, conditions, and physical fitness. He has a firm understanding of the function of the body during movement from high-level athletics to everyday activities.

Dr. Shay utilizes a variety of different adjustment and soft tissue techniques to create a treatment plan that is unique to each individual patient. After an initial exam, Dr. Shay will review the course of treatment with his patient to ensure they are fully aware of what it entails.

Dr. Shay is committed to helping his patients recover from injuries or chronic pain and is dedicated to serving the people of Brewster and Putnam County, NY. When he’s not working with his patients, Dr. Shay enjoys competing in Jiu-Jitsu tournaments, including placing first in the 2022 New Haven International Open. Dr. Shay holds a Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

I abuse my body. Injuries very old and new. Work out hard..heavy weights and my job extremely physical, repetitive and taxing. I’m a massage therapist and Ive pretty much worked every day for the last couple decades and I’m not young, so I have years of repetitive stress injuries. I could not do without the therapy I get here to keep everything under control. Amani(acupuncturist) is a life saver! I’m sure if I wasn’t working (haha-I wish) she would’ve completely cured me of all my physical ailments. As it is..she makes my pain levels bearable and I’m able to function and hopefully won’t need surgery.

PMRin Brewster has been the best experience of my life. I have had multiple back knee shoulder and neck surgeries. I have also been to many different PT places that didn’t work and Doctor Shay and Doctor Ciatto have been the two best therapist I have ever used. This place is friendly and has more great knowledge of how to repair the body than any place I have ever been too.
